Q: Are the supplements safe?
A: Absolutely. All products contain exactly what is stated on its label, there are no contaminants or other ingredients that are not listed on the label, and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), which are established by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, have all been met during the production of the product.
Q: Are supplements FDA approved?
A.The FDA does not approve or disapprove of dietary supplements, as it does for drugs. This is because dietary supplements have been determined to be safe within a broad range of intake and safety problems with supplements are relatively rare. Dietary supplements are regulated only for labeling and advertising by the FDA (within the US Department of Health and Human Services) under a federal statute passed in 1994 called DSHEA (the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act).
Q: How are the products manufactured?
A: All products are manufactured at state-of-the-art U.S. FDA approved facilities and meet or exceed the cGMPs (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) set forth by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. GMPs are guidelines that govern the ways in which dietary supplements are manufactured. GMPs provide a system of procedures and documentation to ensure that the products being produced have the identity, composition, strength, quality, and purity being represented. Each lot is independently tested to ensure consistency before bottling. Optimum Aging uses the highest quality raw materials to ensure high bio-availability and purity.
Q: How do we know that what you say is in the product is actually in the product?
A. Our products are manufactured to cGMP's (Current Good Manufacturing Practices). Quality assurance checkpoints are built into the entire process, including multiple checks on raw material weight, proper grinding and mixing of raw material blend to assure uniform dispersion, multiple capsule weight checks throughout the encapsulation process, accurately filling the bottles with the proper number of capsules or soft-gels, and final testing of finished product for quality and label claims. All these checkpoints guarantee that all ingredients on the label match the content of the bottle. A certificate of composition accompanies each product batch, which ensures that potency meets stated label claims of potency.
Q: What is the shelf life of the Products?
A. All formulations have been stability tested for a two-year shelf life from the date of manufacturing, which can be found on the bottom of the bottle. The Omega-3 fish oil has a three-year shelf life.
Q: Does my doctor have a financial interest in these products?
A.Some of the physicians may have a financial interest in dispensing and recommending these products. These products are not prescription drugs, and you may choose other over-the-counter products.
